Migration Checklist

This checklist reflects the migration rule that existing ANGFA pages should be carried over into the new site, while items marked as “doesn’t exist yet,” “will link to wordpress site once created,” or Rainbowfish-related links should be handled differently.

1. Migrate existing ANGFA pages

  • Mission — use the existing ANGFA Mission page as the source and place it on a new public page in the redesigned site.
  • ANGFA Contacts — use the existing ANGFA Contacts page as the source and migrate it to a new contact page.
  • Fishes of Sahul — use the existing ANGFA publication page as the source and migrate it into the new site.
  • About ANGFA — carry over the existing content and structure into the new public site.
  • Queensland / Victoria / Northern Australia — migrate the existing regional content into dedicated pages.
  • New South Wales — content is current (committee, meeting schedule, contacts) and ready to migrate; no longer deferred.

2. Handle special cases

  • Doesn’t exist yet — leave as a placeholder or future section until content is available.
  • Member Section — placeholder now explains member access is moving to a future WordPress subdomain.
  • Sponsors — filled in with the current sponsor list (name, state, website) supplied directly, no longer a bare placeholder.
  • Upcoming Events — filled in with the 2026 Convention date and computed QLD/VIC meeting schedules through end of 2027, no longer a bare placeholder.
  • Rainbowfish-related pages — link to the separate Rainbowfish project rather than copying content into this site.
  • Facebook — own page with a write-up and a curated list of popular posts, plus a link out to the actual group.

3. Defer or leave for later

  • South Australia — old content refers to a defunct group (SANFA, "no longer operating") on legacy markup; treat as not existing until fresh content is confirmed.
  • ANGFA Merchandise — defer until a shop or offer exists.

4. Final review

  • Review each item against the source rule: existing ANGFA page, placeholder, external link, or future member portal.
  • Keep the new site focused on high-value public content and the planned member access experience.
